Programme Steering Committee

There are two Programme Steering Committees representing the Programme’s two priorities:

  • Knowledge, Innovation and Skills for Growth
  • Climate Change and Sustainable Regeneration

The main task of the two Steering Committees is to ensure that the joint selection of projects complies with the selection procedures and criteria, as approved by the Programme Monitoring Committee.

The Steering Committees comprise representatives from the Managing Authority, the Welsh Government, the Irish Government, regional and local authorities and other relevant state agencies and sectoral interests relevant to the Programme’s priorities.  A representative of the European Commission may participate in an advisory capacity.

Assisted by the appraisal process carried out by the Joint Technical Secretariat, the Programme Steering Committees meet to select projects after the close of each call.
