Funding Call Closed - Round 4

Round 4 closed earlier this year.  Round 5 has provisionally been set for the first quarter of 2011.  Please contact your local Development Officer if you would like to discuss a project idea.

In operation since 2007, the Ireland Wales Programme is now open for its fourth call for proposals. As an EU Structural Funded Programme, Ireland Wales seeks projects that aim to jointly address the challenges in EU, Irish and Welsh policies and have a positive impact on local communities in the cross-border area.

At a time when funding opportunities are limited, the Ireland Wales Programme offers eligible organisations an excellent source of funding for innovative cross border projects. A total of €27.8m remains available, providing huge scope for organisations to develop innovative solutions to the shared challenges of the Ireland Wales Programme area.

As Simon Baily announced the call, he said "The 4th call represents an opportunity for Irish and Welsh organisations to come together and pool their resources in these challenging times. Significant funds are available for organisations who wish to develop exciting, innovative projects."

In addition, the programme would particularly welcome smaller scale pioneering pilot projects from organisations that are active in the community development and community regeneration field.
